If you’ve ever traveled on an airplane, you’ve likely heard the phrase, “Put on your oxygen mask first before helping others.” This statement has always struck me. I couldn’t imagine the overriding fear if you were in this position. Secondly, human instinct is to try and help those around you, such as your children who may be flying for the first time.
So why do airplane standards suggest putting on your mask first? If we can’t optimally care for ourselves, we can’t care for anyone else. However, if we can quickly assemble our masks, we can perform with an optimal oxygen level to help others.
These are just a few of the reasons why I wrote Modern Maslow.
There are too many leaders out there who are overworking themselves to satisfy the needs of those around them. Their oxygen levels are depleted, and they aren’t getting the desired results.
There are numerous cases of burnout among leaders, and with today’s disruptive technological climate, many are struggling to keep up.
I use Modern Maslow as a tool to reveal:
- A proven framework for professional and personal development
- The strategies you need to master to drive real change within your organization
- The secret to creating a better team culture
- What you can do to bring out your best self as a leader (so you can bring out the best in others)
- How you can unlock your purpose and find meaning in your work and life
My goal is for Modern Maslow to help you optimize your potential, lead with authenticity, and find deeper fulfillment at work. Only eight weeks until the official launch!
Your support means the world to me. See you next week!
The best is yet to come,
Brian
